Today I'm sharing the Knitting Book Tag! This was originally created by Wilde Book Garden and I was tagged by Jackalope Hope. Please check out all people linked below!

Prompts:

1. Cast-on: The first section you scope out in a bookstore/library/online book shopping.
2. Knit: Obviously a staple of knitting! A super hyped book that completely delivered for you.
3. Purl: As important as the "knit" stitch, but probably not as famous. Name a character you think deserves more love (from the fandom, the author, other characters, etc).
4. Chart: A book or author you've been meaning to read but somehow just haven't gotten around to (and why).
5. Double-Pointed Needles (DPNs): Recommend a series you can actually read out of order, AND one that people might think you can but you actually can't.
6. Cables: A book you heard negative reviews for but you ended up loving.
7. Skein: Why do we still sell yarn like this?! A trope you can't stand.
8. Gauge swatch: Share an author who is always a good fit for you.
9. Stitch marker: Share a specific scene that stands out clearly in your mind (no spoilers!)
10. Yarn weight: Super useful info to take in at a glance. Do you have some bookish taste buddies? This could be someone you have really similar tastes to in general, or for a specific kind of book.
11. That novelty yarn someone gifted you because they heard you like knitting, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to work with. What's a book that looked perfect for you on paper, but just didn't work out?
12. Scarf: The perfect starter project. Recommend a good book for getting into a genre or kind of book.
13. Socks: Handmade socks are WAY harder than they look! Talk about an underappreciated author who deserves more hype.
14. Cast Off: A weirdly specific thing you love (could be a trope, something in book construction, etc.)
15. Crafting Party! Honestly one of the best parts of any hobby is sharing it with friends. Tag some people who craft or who might like to answer the questions!

Meltdown by Scott Wallens My rating: 3 of 5 stars I enjoyed this book a little more than the previous. I could connect a bit more with Jane on a personal level than I have been with the other characters. That is usually the case for me though when band is involved, as it is something that was a large part of my life for many years. Still having issues with the parents, however I am glad that it seems Jane is actually doing something to make her parents understand what she's feeling rather than just lashing out. Books: My Thoughts on Grim Reaper: End of Days

Grim Reaper: End of Days by Steve Alten My rating: 2 of 5 stars This was just ok for me. I suppose it wasn't the story I was expecting going in. It's a battle between good and evil with elements of spirituality and science, but there's a lot going on. There were many POVs and I felt like that made the story drag. This seems to be the start of a series per the last few pages in the book, but there have not been any subsequent novels published to date. I don't think I would've continued with this series if there were to be honest. This book did feel final enough for me in the epilogue. Though I didn't enjoy this book very much, I have been enjoying the author's MEG series a lot and will try other books by him in the future. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Jaws

Jaws by Peter Benchley My rating: 2 of 5 stars I was so fascinated by Meg that I thought I should probably check out this book. Yes, I've seen the movie, but I was still curious about the source material especially because I don't quite remember everything from the film. This one was available to stream for free through Audible for Prime Members so I thought, why not. It's been a while since I've seen the film, though I can say that when I watched it, I did think it was scary. I was a child when I watched it and as an adult, I don't think the movie will give me the same chilling feeling I had then. This book surely was not anything like I expected, and not in a positive way. The use of vulgar language and a derogatory word right off the bat did not help matters for me. The writing style didn't agree with me and the story itself was very dated. The descriptions of the attacks were not chilling or suspenseful to me and the end ...
