Books: My Thoughts on Court (Crave 4)

Image
Court by Tracy Wolff My rating: 5 of 5 stars I flew through this installment. Emotions run high and there is lots on the line, which made this very hard to put down. I even got a little emotional, which is very rare for me. Jumping right into the next one! View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy 3)

Image
Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead My rating: 3 of 5 stars This one didn't grab me. Entertaining, yes but I was able to put it down several times while reading it and not return to it for weeks. I will read the next one, but it will probably be a bit before I do. View all my reviews

Welcome to my April reading and crafting vlog! Books: My Thoughts on Five Survive

Image
Five Survive by Holly Jackson My rating: 3 of 5 stars Entertaining but just didn't grab me. One character was particularly irritating. There was more agitation for me with this story than suspense or thrill factor. The mystery aspect was good and without the one character, I probably would've enjoyed this more. It probably didn't help that I listened to this on audiobook. That probably increased my agitation with the situations quite a bit. I think this would be a great one for the audience this is aimed for though or even someone who doesn't read a lot of books in this genre. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Through the Grinder (Coffeehouse Mystery 2)

Image
Through the Grinder by Cleo Coyle My rating: 3 of 5 stars More like a 2.5 This one was just ok for me. I knew from the first chapter if the language in that chapter was going to continue throughout the book, it was going to be a rough one for me. Certain words were used too many times and it just felt excessive. There is a scene in this book that involves speed dating that I did not enjoy at all. Clare's thoughts on one of the people she meets there really made me mad, to the point that I almost DNF'd the book right there. I had issues with a few other things that occurred in this one as well and I may stop reading the series here. I haven't decided yet, but that is how much things in this installment bothered me. So disappointed as I really enjoy the descriptions of the coffees and the recipes, but I don't think that I'll be able to forget my thoughts on this installment to be able to enjoy the sequels.
