It's Manga Monday! Today I'm sharing my first impressions of Shortcake Cake and Knight of the Ice. These were the January selections for my in real life manga club. I thought I'd have a dedicated video to these selections in case anyone wanted to read and talk about the selections with me here. I also announce the February selections, in case you want to read those and talk with me about them. I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan My rating: 3 of 5 stars Read for the Buzzword Reading Challenge 2022 I enjoyed experiencing the differences the original story had from the movie adaptation. I have to say that I enjoyed the movie adaptation more. The adaptation brought more suspense to this story and this book mainly focused on relationship drama and teens being teens. That being said, I am glad that I finally read this and will continue to explore the author's work. View all my reviews

In December, my Manga Advent Calendar Project and Random Number Generator pulls helped me to compile this list of things to read this year. Will I get through this stack before the end of the year? Only time will tell ^-^

Welcome to my January vlog! I've decided to rename these Disis19 Diaries, because that's what these videos really are - diary entries as opposed to following me around while I do things. This vlog will encompass what I've done and read from January 1 to January 15. There's also a bit of a book haul in this one ^-^

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Re-reading with my mother and daughter. Really enjoyed revisiting this one! I definitely forgot a few things that happened since I read it the first time. Listened to the audiobook this time and really enjoyed that performance as well. Looking forward to continuing and chatting about this with my family. View all my reviews

It's time to tell you about everything I read in December! This is my December Wrap Up or Book & Manga Reading Log, whichever you prefer ^-^ I didn't read as much as I wanted to in December, but I still read a decent number of things. Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson My rating: 4 of 5 stars Really enjoyed this re-read. I read this the first time when we took my daughter to Disney World for her 10th birthday. I enjoyed it then because all of the attractions they talked about, we were visiting at the time. This time I enjoyed remembering the attractions as they are described while I was reading. I'm hoping to continue this series this year and I'm looking forward to more adventures in the parks and with the characters. View all my reviews

Here's a list of 22 series I'd like to read from in 2022! I did intend on uploading this before the new year, but that didn't work out. If you hear me say "this year" I mean 2021 ^-^ I separated this list into 3 sections: 10 series I'd like to continue, 10 series I need to re-start to continue, and 2 series I'd like to start. These were just the series that I've been thinking about recently and this list only includes novels, not manga. Let me know in the comments below if you've read or plan to read any of these series!
