A Wonderful Christmas Crime by Jacqueline Frost My rating: 3 of 5 stars Another cast of characters I enjoy reuniting with during the holiday season! Even though some of Holly's decisions had me shaking my head, I still enjoyed this installment and I always look forward to spending time with these characters. View all my reviews

Death by Dumpling by Vivien Chien My rating: 4 of 5 stars More like a 3.5 Read for #MarchMysteryMadness2025 I enjoyed this installment. Don't know why it took me so long to start this series! I listened to the audiobook and the characters sound like people I know in real life. Will definitely continue to experience this series through the audiobooks. Looking forward to the next one! Caught Dead Handed by Carol J. Perry My rating: 4 of 5 stars I enjoyed this one. Definitely deals with some heavier topics though. Glad I finally got around to reading this one and will be continuing on with the series. View all my reviews

Welcome to my March reading and crafting vlog! I've decided to rename these Disis19 Diaries, because that's what these videos really are - diary entries as opposed to following me around while I do things. This vlog will my reads during March Mystery Madness and a small Blanket of Reads Update. ~Mentions~ Live and Let Chai (Seaside Cafe Mysteries 1) by Bree Baker

Live and Let Chai by Bree Baker My rating: 4 of 5 stars Read for #MarchMysteryMadness I found this quite entertaining. I will be honest and say that some of the things our main character does wasn't the smartest, and my early prediction for the culprit was correct. That being said, the iced tea descriptions were great and I look forward to hearing more about the iced teas she offers in future installments. This one also came with recipes at the end, which I always appreciate. Looking forward to continuing this series! View all my reviews

Apple Cider Slaying by Julie Anne Lindsey My rating: 4 of 5 stars It's been a while since I've read a cozy and I really enjoyed this one. I will admit that in the beginning, our main character was starting to grate on my nerves. I also couldn't see how there would be any kind of romantic connection with the person I presumed was going to be the love interest. By the end though, I enjoyed our main character and could get behind the romantic pairing as well. I will say though that I did listen to this on audio and I believe the way the characters were narrated is the main reason why I felt this way. I really enjoyed the relationship between our main character and her grandmother. I also really enjoyed the scenes where she reminisced about her grandfather. As someone who had a close relationship with my grandfather and still feel his loss, I could definitely relate to how she was feeling in those scenes. View all my reviews ...

To Helvetica and Back by Paige Shelton My rating: 4 of 5 stars Read for #MarchMysteryMadness I really enjoyed this one. I was surprised by the book restoration aspect of our main character's business, but it was a good surprise. I thought those scenes were very interesting. I'll definitely be continuing to the next one and look forward to spending more time with our characters. View all my reviews

Slashing Through the Snow by Jacqueline Frost My rating: 3 of 5 stars More like a 2.5 For me, this was my least favorite of the 3 installments. Some things were too predictable and for some reason our main character seemed very childish, almost like she was throwing a tantrum every time she was told to stop snooping. I did listen to the audiobook as I had the previous installments, but I don't remember her being as irritating in those. Not sure if it was just the narration or if the character comes across the same in the text, but it definitely hindered my enjoyment of this installment. I was so looking forward to this installment, especially since there was such a long break between the second and third book, but unfortunately this one was just ok for me. View all my reviews
