Books: My Thoughts on Crave (Crave 1)

Image
Crave by Tracy Wolff My rating: 4 of 5 stars A surprisingly entertaining read. Could've done without the numerous "AF" remarks, but it was still enjoyable. Looking forward to reading the next installment. Read for the Camp Crystal Lake Readathon.  View all my reviews

Welcome to my October reading and crafting vlog! I've decided to rename these Disis19 Diaries, because that's what these videos really are - diary entries as opposed to following me around while I do things. This vlog will encompass what I finished reading so far in October as well as what I'm logging for the Camp Crystal Lake Readathon and Manga Freak-a-thon.  There's some knitting chat in this one too ^-^  ~Mentions~ The Fourth Closet (Five Nights at Freddy's 3) by Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley  Devil's Line Vols 8-11 by Ryo Hanada Sock pattern is Crunkled Socks by Kay Jones of the Bakery Bears Podcast on Ravelry and LoveCrafts. Finished Series: My Thoughts on Devils' Line Volume 14 by Ryo Hanada

Image
Devils' Line, Vol. 14 by Ryo Hanada My rating: 4 of 5 stars More like a 3.5 - Whole series rating is also a 3.5 This series ended up not being what I thought it was going to be and that is what lead to my disappointment. This is a series about relationships, which is not my usual cup of tea. That being said, it was an entertaining read. We follow so many characters throughout this story that it felt more like we were having singular episodes with them instead of the series being a continuous story. A character I thought was going to be focused on more, ended up not being as important to the story as I thought they were going to be. Certain things were presented in a way that was confusing to me and I don't know if it was presented that way in order to keep the reader surprised with the reveal or if it was just the way I interpreted things. Even though I was disappointed this time around, I do want to re-try this series sometime in the future. I think going into this series t

Finished Series: My Thoughts on The Fourth Closet (Five Nights at Freddy's 3)

Image
The Fourth Closet by Scott Cawthon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Probably more like a 4.5 This was my favorite installment of the trilogy. So much happened and the pacing was much faster. I almost feel like I need to re-read it immediately because things haven't yet settled in my mind yet. I listened to the entire trilogy from audiobook, so I think my next read through will be physically. The audiobooks were very entertaining, though Charlie's voice irritated me. Definitely looking forward to the other books in this franchise. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on The Twisted Ones (Five Nights at Freddy's 2)

Image
The Twisted Ones by Scott Cawthon My rating: 4 of 5 stars This one really picked up towards the end for me, though the main character got on my nerves quite a bit. It may be because I listened to the audiobook and how her lines were delivered. I'll be interested to see if her voice bothers me as much when reading a physical copy. View all my reviews
