It's Manga Monday! Today I'm sharing my first impressions of The Demon Prince of Momochi House and Ragna Crimson. These were the August selections for my in real life manga club. I thought I'd have a dedicated video to these selections in case anyone wanted to read and talk about the selections with me here. Rescuing Titanic: A true story of quiet bravery in the North Atlantic by Flora Delargy My rating: 4 of 5 stars I really enjoyed this. I don't read a lot of children's books but the topic of this one really caught my attention. I have watched a lot of documentaries on Titanic, but I've never watched anything from the perspective of the Carpathia, who came to rescue the survivors of the sinking. This book provides that perspective. The story is told in a way that is easy enough for children to understand, but still interesting enough for an adult to read. I loved the illustrations and the art style and am really looking forward to more of what the Hidden Histories series has to offer in the future. I did receive an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher through Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. This in no way affects my thoughts on this book, just so you know. View all my reviews

In July, I was able to shop at Barnes & Noble in person for the first time in a very long time, and I also attended the Animanga Convention. I decided to try something different in the month of July! I had originally intended this to be a vlog style wrap up video, but it ended up being more like Friday Reads videos, where I check in with you once a week and let you know how I'm getting along with my reads. I've also included some clips of me doing some manga shopping in Barnes and Noble and attending the Animanga Convention. I will still be doing a Wrap Up video for the books and manga I read during the month, but I do talk a little about all my reads in this video just so you know. Links after the break.
