Books: My Thoughts on Scavenger Hunt

Image
Scavenger Hunt by Christopher Pike My rating: 3 of 5 stars Read for #MarchMysteryMadness At first, I was really enjoying this book. The twist made this story a bit strange, which I wasn't expecting. With the events during the ending of this book, the story took a turn that I don't really enjoy in books I read. I do remember enjoying this one as a teen, but my enjoyment has definitely been impacted by the passing years. I would say I still liked it overall and I'm glad that I have it in my collection, but this wasn't as good as I had remembered it being years ago. View all my reviews

Finished Series: My Thoughts on Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair Volume 3

Image
Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair Volume 3 by Kyousuke Suga My rating: 4 of 5 stars While I enjoyed seeing the story from Nagito's perspective, there is a large chunk of the story missing in this final volume. That was so disappointing to me and also made this volume feel very rushed. That being said, Nagito is an interesting character and I'm glad to have this in my collection. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on To Helvetica and Back (Dangerous Type Mysteries 1)

Image
To Helvetica and Back by Paige Shelton My rating: 4 of 5 stars Read for #MarchMysteryMadness I really enjoyed this one. I was surprised by the book restoration aspect of our main character's business, but it was a good surprise. I thought those scenes were very interesting. I'll definitely be continuing to the next one and look forward to spending more time with our characters. View all my reviews

Since I had picked a Choose Your Own Adventure book to read for my TBR Game, I thought it might be fun to have some interaction on my adventure! Whenever a choice point came up in the book, I ran a poll. Based on the result of the poll, that's the road I took in the story. Thank you to everyone who participated! If you'd like to see more of these readthroughs on my channel, please let me know in the comments below ^-^

Image
Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy My rating: 4 of 5 stars Read for #MarchMysteryMadness I thought this was so entertaining. Not sure why it took me so long to finally check this series out! The audiobook was great and I really enjoyed the little interview that was included at the end with Skulduggery. Will definitely be continuing with the series and seeing what other adventures our characters go on. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Velocity (Karen Vail 3)

Image
Velocity by Alan Jacobson My rating: 3 of 5 stars This book took me forever to get through. I find that the more books I read in this series, the more I don't enjoy our main character. Unfortunately, I think this is where I will stop reading this series. I really enjoyed the first book, but my experience with this installment was not nearly as enjoyable. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on The Case of the Missing Marquess (Enola Holmes 1)

Image
The Case of the Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer My rating: 4 of 5 stars More like a 3.5 Read for #MarchMysteryMadness I thought this was entertaining. It was interesting to see Enola's older brothers as they are portrayed here -  just as older brothers than anything else. To be honest, I did find them a little irritating when they first appeared, but I still enjoyed their presence in this story. I listened to this one and thought the narration was done well. The audiobook definitely kept my interest and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next one. View all my reviews
