Books: The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson & the Olympians 4)

Image
The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Really enjoyed my re-read of this installment. I remembered quite a bit from my initial read and again listened to most of the book via audiobook. I am really enjoying the audiobooks of this series. Am looking forward to finishing this series soon, so I can move on to the Hero of Olympus series. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Cirque Berserk (Rewind or Die Book 4)

Image
Cirque Berserk by Jessica Guess My rating: 4 of 5 stars More like a 3.5 I thought this was very entertaining. Loved the 80's music references! Kept me guessing at the end in regards to which way the story would end. An enjoyable read. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on The Haunted Forest Tour

Image
The Haunted Forest Tour by James A. Moore My rating: 4 of 5 stars More like a 3.5 This story started out very promising. The body count is definitely high and there are scenes that are stomach turning. It includes very descriptive scenes of people being eaten and mutilated. If that sounds like your thing, this is for you. Where this story started to go down hill for me are the constant lecherous thoughts of some of the men in this book. Also, the cast list is a bit too large for me and it made it hard to remember who was who at times. Since we do follow so many characters, we are also bouncing back and forth between areas in the forest with different groups of people. Not my favorite type of story telling but for the type of story this is, I think that definitely works here. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #3)

Image
The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan My rating: 4 of 5 stars So far, this was the least enjoyable installment for me. I don't remember what my initial thoughts on this were during my first read as I wasn't writing reviews at that time, but this is also the first installment of my re-read through this series that I didn't remember much of. It was still a very entertaining read, I just didn't enjoy it as much as the first two. There were definitely a few passages that irritated me, but I am outside the target audience so that is to be expected. Looking forward to the next installment, especially with what we find out at the end of this one! View all my reviews

Finished Series: Millennium Snow, Vol. 4

Image
Millennium Snow, Vol. 4 by Bisco Hatori My rating: 4 of 5 stars I would say this is more like a 3.5 for me, but I'm glad that I've finally read this series. It was definitely interesting for me to see what the mangaka had to say in the sidebars in regards to her thoughts on the characters and the struggles with continuing the series after a 10 year break. It does make you wonder if the story would've gone the same way if it was written continuously instead of with the long break in between. Overall, I did still enjoy this series and am looking forward to reading more of this mangaka's work in the future. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Bury Me

Image
Bury Me by K.R. Alexander My rating: 4 of 5 stars Such an entertaining read. I do own a copy of this one, but I listened to the audiobook which I borrowed from my library. It definitely had a few creepy scenes and even though I'm outside the target age range for this book, it still kept my interest throughout. I am looking forward to reading more of this author's work!  Read for Horror Mayhem and Middle Grade May View all my reviews
