I'd say #MarchMysteryMadness was a success! In this video, I talk about what I thought about the books I read during March, as well as the books that I'm currently reading. Thank you to all the participants and hosts. I look forward to the 4th Annual March Mystery Madness in 2019! Don't forget that just because March Mystery Madness is over, that doesn't mean that you have to stop reading mysteries ^-^

If you are a part of our Mystery Madness Goodreads Group , you have already seen the threads, but if you aren't a part of the group yet, here are the challenges that we have for the month of March. Books: My Thoughts on Behind Closed Doors

Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris My rating: 4 of 5 stars Probably more like a 3.5, read for #MarchMysteryMadness This was a pretty fast read, though fairly predictable. I think if you are interested in this one, it's best to go in blind. Even reading the synopsis on the front cover puts too many pieces together for you, I feel. That being said, the format is interesting as you go back and forth between past and present, so you do get the full picture of what is going on as you read. Grace was a bit too naïve for me at times and I did actually laugh out loud at some of her actions that weren't well thought through. I really enjoyed how this book wrapped up and since one of the blurbs on the back of the book references Gone Girl, I will tell you that I enjoyed this book a lot more than Gone Girl. I hesitate to say anymore as I will end up giving things away. I'll wrap this up by saying that I am interested to see what other stories this author brings us...

Books: My Thoughts on The Last Battle (Chronicles of Narnia #7)

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis My rating: 3 of 5 stars I can finally say that I've read this series. I do wish that I read it when I was younger as this series wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it would be for me, reading it as an adult. The twist at the end of this book didn't surprise me too much and I was disappointed to find out about how another character had grown up. I was happy to see past characters towards the end of this book, but that didn't push this book from a like to a love for me. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will always be my favorite of this series, but I was happy to find The Horse and His Boy, as it is a second favorite of this series. I think overall, I'd give this series three stars and would still recommend people read it if they haven't. View all my reviews
