Books: My Thoughts on Megalodon: Bloodbath (Deep Sea Predators 1)

Image
Megalodon: Bloodbath by Michael R. Cole My rating: 4 of 5 stars Enjoyable and entertaining. Lots of shark interactions. Just what I was looking for in a Shark Week read. Will definitely be reading more from this author. View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Mega (Mega 1)

Image
Mega by Jake Bible My rating: 3 of 5 stars Entertaining, but there was too much focus on the different groups of humans and not enough shark for what I was looking for. Hopefully because this is the first book in the series, we'll have more opportunity to see the shark in the next one as all the introductions should be out of the way.  View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Christmas Presents

Image
Christmas Presents by Lisa Unger My rating: 4 of 5 stars Really enjoyed this one. Much better for me than the previous book I read by this author, though it took me a bit longer to finish than I thought it would. Story does take place leading up to Christmas and I thought it was a great one to read as a Christmas in July selection. I did sample a bit from the audio narration as well and I do think that if I stuck with that version, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed the story as much. There was just something about the narration that didn't grab me. Even at 2 times speed, it just made the story feel slow to me which was not how it felt reading physically. Will definitely be checking out more of this author's work in the future.  View all my reviews

Books: My Thoughts on Not Another Christmas Rom Com

Image
Not Another Christmas Rom Com by A.J. Pine My rating: 4 of 5 stars Entertaining and enjoyable. I will say there was something that was so glaringly obvious pretty early in the story, and it made some of the drama that happened irritating for me. That being said, I did enjoy this one even with the moments of irritation. I enjoyed the other holiday story the author has written as well and would definitely listen to another if they release one.  View all my reviews
