Books: My Thoughts on Gallows Hill

Image
Gallows Hill by Lois Duncan My rating: 3 of 5 stars Entertaining but I did not care for most of the parents in this story at all. How they reacted to situations was aggravating and I feel like there might've been something more going on with the main character's Mom but that wasn't really explained. Had I read this when I was the target age for this, I probably would have enjoyed it more. I do remember that I enjoyed the TV adaptation when it came out years ago. I am interested to see what I think now, years later, and after having read the source material. View all my reviews

The Woman in Black by Susan Hill My rating: 2 of 5 stars This one just wasn't for me. For such a short book, it was a struggle for me to finish reading it. The story just did not grab my attention. View all my reviews

The Ashport Archives: Search for The Phoenix by Stephanie A. Gillis My rating: 4 of 5 stars Very entertaining read! The reveal wasn't surprising to me, but I don't think it should've been since there were clues dropped along the way. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next installment.
